Mosquito Pest Management

Mosquito Pest Management

Mosquitoes are absolutely a health threat for human being as they transmit a lot of harmful disease like dengue, yellow fever, malaria, Chikun Gunya, filarial, etc. So, this is quite vital to reduce the mosquito populations around your home and also other living and recreational areas. So, one of the paramount ways of reducing the mosquitoes is mosquito control. This specific process must be completed in every corner of your house, your garden, surrounding o your house, your area, village and city and everywhere. Mosquito control manages the population of mosquitoes to reduce their damage to human health, economies, and enjoyment. Mosquito control is a vital public-health practice throughout the world and especially in the tropics because mosquitoes spread many diseases, such as malaria and the Zika virus.Depending on the situation, source reduction, biocontrol, larviciding (killing of larvae), or adulticiding (killing of adults) may be used to manage mosquito populations. These techniques are accomplished using habitat modification, pesticide, biological-control agents, and trapping. The advantage of non-toxic methods of control is they can be used in Conservation Areas.

Life Cycle of Mosquitos

Eggs: Adult mosquitoes lay a raft of eggs on the water's surface.
Larvae: About 48 hours after the eggs are laid they hatch into larvae. During this stage they molt (shed their skin) four times, growing larger each time.
Pupa: This is a resting stage, they are developing into an adult. When development is complete the adult mosquito emerges from the pupal skin.
Adult: Once the adult emerges it rests while its body hardens and its wings dry. After a few days the adult mosquito begins feeding and mating
